Hire Labour TENS

$100.00

TENS is a drug free natural pain relief option for labour. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with other methods f pain relief to hep give you pain relief during labour. It can be beneficial for period pain too. It is not not harmful for your baby during childbirth.

How does it work?

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) passes mild electrical impulses through electrode pads into sensory receptors that lie just underneath the skin. These signals travel along nerves to the brain. TENS helps to change how the body perceives pain, which decreases pain levels and helps release endorphins (the body’s pain killing hormones). The level of pain relief experienced varies from person to person and may have even better results when used with other pain-relieving techniques such as breathing and relaxation.

Wearing the TENS from the first contractions is most beneficial. When you feel a contraction, pressing the plunger button will increase the sensation to help you manage the pain.
